With-Malice is discussing "Which is on the best NBA team of the decade?" The debate is whether it is the Los Angeles Lakers or the San Antonio Spurs. Check it out! It's a very interesting read. On the basis of consistency I'd have to say the Lakers. On the basis of the number of current first and second round pick-viable players in fantasy basketball (which by the way, was obviously not one of his criteria), I'd have to say the Lakers. On the simple bias that it's the franchise that was once the home of two of my all-time favorite basketball players, Kareem and Magic, I'd have to say the Lakers. At this point, you can clearly see why my opinions don't really belong inside Don's article. spurs-la is an interesting, competitive and close debate. I would give the Spurs the edge because of their overall consistency in winning % and give la the slight edge in postseason consistency.

Spurs are the winningest team of the decade with 523 wins in 738 games= 71% winning %
Mavericks are the next with 507 wins in 738 games=69% winning %
la is the third winningest team of the decade with 488 wins in 738 games= 66% winning %

Spurs have 9 of 9 winning yrs, la has 8 of 9
Spurs have 7 div titles, la has 4
Spurs have made the conf finals 5 times, la has made it 5 times as well
Spurs have 3 conf titles, la has 5 conf titles
Spurs have 3 NBA titles, la has 3 NBA titles
